Patsy Kelly Stamper, 78, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond. She was the wife of Londus Stamper for 62 years and was affectionately known by her family as “Gan.”
She was born on Wednesday, July 5, 1944 to the late Bessie “Ma” Kelly and Morris Kelly. She was a hairdresser for may years and loved spending time with her family and friends. Pat was an avid bowler who enjoyed participating in the Bowling Leagues. She love to read western novels and often would read three or four books in one night. She cherished shopping trips, especially to Wal-Mart, and always met someone she knew with whom she would pursue a long conversation.
Other than her husband, Patsy is survived by three children, Betsy Satterfield, Becky Rowland and Lonnie Stamper (Lisa); six grandchildren, Patti (Trish) Stamper, Whitney Wininger, Kelli Satterfield, Timothy Rowland (Brittany), Michelle Combs (Dusty) and Lucas Stamper; twelve great-grandchildren, Bailee Stamper (Cameron Bullock), Jessica McFerron, Taylor Wininger, Alyssa Wininger, Jackson Wininger, Daulton Santo, Tryson Rowland, Ian Rowland, Alaska Combs, Salem Combs, Nashton Kirby and Andy McFerron; three brothers, Danny Kelly (Dot), Windell Kelly and Jimmy Kelly; three great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, Greg and Carol Moore, Heather Ball, and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven brothers, three sisters, a sister-in-law, and a son-in-law.
An end of life celebration will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022, at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. John Portwood officiating. Private family burial will follow in the Madison Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 9 AM – 11 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Rowland, Jackson Wininger, Lucas Stamper, Cameron Bullock, Dusty Combs and Doug Tackett.
